PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

DELTA WINDSURF COMPANY, Sherman Island, California              04/2000 - present
Purchasing Consultant, Store Instructor, and Web Content Copy Writer & Editor:
Analyze store sales and market trends on all equipment and make recommendations for future purchases and new product launches. Responsible for planning and carrying out sales strategies and promotional campaigns to increase store revenue and its customer base. As a store instructor I educate students not only on windsurfing techniques but also on new equipment trends and make their equipment needs turned into immediate product purchases.

SAILBOARD VACATIONS, Windsurf village, Aruba             12/1998 - 12/1999
On-site Instructor and Equipment Manager:
Taught private and group hourly lessons, as well as gave 3-5 day clinics at the largest windsurfing facility in the entire Caribbean at the time. I was in charge of selecting and ordering new equipment for the resort. I oversaw the maintenance and fine-tuning of the equipment.

ABK SPORTS, US and Caribbean Tour                   1992 - 1998
Instructor and Equipment Manager:
Started as an instructor in charge of 5-7 students for each clinic. Gave technical lectures focused on each piece of equipment (boards, sails, fins) to all clinic participants. After 2 years I also became the Equipment Manager. My duties included dealing with product sponsors on restocking, repair, and warranty issues from clinic to clinic.

FREELANCE WORK

Windsurfing Magazine                             09/1998 - present
Instructional Editor and Equipment Pro-tester:
Contributing to every issue that has a section covering windsurfing techniques (19 articles to-date). During the Magazine's Board/Sail tests, one of three full-time pro-testers as well as the on-site guest instructor.
